New Wharton Seminars for Business Journalists Scholarships to Cover Domestic Travel & Tuition: Oct. 14-17, 2007
What: Through the generosity of sponsor Southwest Airlines, the Wharton Seminars for Business Journalists is announcing that up to ten journalists this year will receive scholarships that include free round trip travel and tuition to the established Wharton School program. Business journalists are encouraged to apply for the special scholarships that provide complimentary round trip domestic air travel from the nearest city Southwest serves to Philadelphia.
The scholarship also covers tuition, course materials, and most meals, worth more than $3,000.00 in all (the scholarship does not include lodging) for those who could otherwise not attend the program. Applicants should note "Travel Scholarship" in the section marked "How did you learn of the Wharton Seminars for Business Journalists program?"
Led by the Wharton School’s most prominent professors, Seminars participants gain a better understanding of key business and economic issues such as accounting, financial statements and corporate governance. Through lectures and hands-on exercises, the program, now in its 39th year, gives reporters an opportunity to expand their knowledge, increase their exposure to leading experts and broaden their perspectives with their peers in a stimulating environment.
When: Oct. 14-17, 2007
Where: Classes are held on the University of Pennsylvania campus at Wharton’s Jon. M. Huntsman Hall. Huntsman Hall is located at 38th and Walnut Streets in Philadelphia, Pa. Lodging is available at the University City Sheraton located in the heart of the University of Pennsylvania campus.

One Day Program Includes Session Focused on International Banking, Management and the Global Economy
What: Through intensive lectures and hands-on exercises, the Wharton Seminars for Business Journalists, led by Wharton’s most prominent professors, help participants gain better understanding of key business and economic issues. The program, now in its 39th year, offers participants an opportunity to expand their knowledge, increase their exposure to leading experts and broaden their perspectives in a stimulating environment. This English language program is free of charge and open to a limited number of journalists.

Where: The Wharton Seminars will hold a daylong session at the Four Seasons Hotel, Hong Kong, in conjunction with the Wharton Global Alumni Forum also taking place in Hong Kong
